Photoshop: Lessons in Patience

I started learning Photoshop yesterday with the hope of someday being able to superimpose my picture into the 2007 New England Patriots team calendar. I’ll keep you posted.

The program itself is easy enough to learn, but I am doing so on my old, dilapidated laptop.  Doing anything on this laptop ceased to be easy once I spilled orange juice all over the keyboard and the battery died of exhaustion.   Now, the laptop is a non-ambulatory, somewhat-functioning grindhouse of fans, disk drives, and strange motor sounds.  Every time I turn it on, I feel like it might explode in my face.

This laptop happens to be the only computer in the house that has Photoshop installed, and rather than trying to figure out how to transfer the program, I have taken the route of least resistance (which has actually turned into most resistance thanks to the sticky keys and gear grinding).

On the plus side, I was able to draw a circle around a blueberry after only 30 minutes on Photoshop.  It was a good circle, too.
